The CAMCOPTER S-100 is an Austrian Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) developed and manufactured by SCHIEBEL ELEKTRONISCHE GERÄTE GMBH. This rotorcraft drone was developed between 2003 and 2005, entering service in 2005, and remains in production today. Schiebel, the Austrian company behind the S-100, is recognized for its work in unmanned systems and mine detection. The S-100 uses fly-by-wire technology, controlled by redundant flight computers, allowing for automatic mission completion even in complex electromagnetic environments. The fuselage utilizes carbon fiber and titanium construction. The system’s maximum takeoff weight is 200 kg (441 lb), with a payload capacity of 50 kg (110 lb), an endurance of up to six hours, and a maximum speed of 220 km/h (120 kn).
