CA-19

The CA-19 is a specific model of the CAC Boomerang, an Australian single-seat fighter aircraft developed and built by Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) during World War II. The CA-19 was part of the final production run of the Boomerang series, with 49 units completed. The very last Boomerang manufactured, A46-249, was a CA-19 model, completed in February 1945.

Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation, often referred to as Commonwealth Aircraft, was an Australian manufacturer that began operations in 1936 to supply aircraft to the Royal Australian Air Force. While the search result mentions a different “Commonwealth Aircraft” founded in 1942 that went bankrupt in 1947, the manufacturer associated with the CA-19 Boomerang is the Australian CAC. The establishment of CAC was foundational for Australia’s self-sufficiency in aircraft production during the war, playing an indispensable role in developing local designs like the Boomerang.

Various access and platform solutions are available for this aircraft, addressing maintenance needs across multiple sections. Platforms and access stands assist with Nose Section components like the Windshield and Cockpit. They support work around the Middle Fuselage and Wing Box Area. These resources are also utilized for the Engine and Wing Pylon, particularly for maintenance related to the Engine Body, Engine Flap, and Hydraulics. Cantilever platforms and specialized step-over platforms enable technicians to thoroughly access the Tail Section, including the Vertical Stabiliser and Rudder.
