CA-16 MK 3

The CA-16 MK 3 is a variant of the Wirraway, a foundational Australian military aircraft. It saw extensive use as a training and general-purpose aircraft. One specific CA-16 MK 3 was received by the Royal Australian Air Force in August 1944. A limited number of Wirraways, including CA-16 models, entered civilian service post-war, primarily for aerial agricultural work.

The Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) was the primary builder of the Wirraway in Australia. Specialized platforms and access solutions are utilized for maintaining this aircraft. Solutions like the Reach Deck Platform and Modular Stepover Platforms support access to critical areas. These tools are used around the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit, Bulkhead), and for servicing the Landing Gear (NLG and MLG). Cantilever platforms and service stands allow maintenance on the Wing & Engine Pylon section (Engine, Flap, Hydraulics, Fuel Tanks/Pumps, Undercowl) and the Tail Section (Vertical Stabiliser, Horizontal Stabiliser, Rudder). A-frame platforms and platform ladders aid access for inspections across the Forward Fuselage and AFT Fuselage, ensuring thorough maintenance across the airframe.
