The C90GTi is an evolutionary development of the short-bodied King Air 90 series, manufactured by Hawker Beechcraft. The original King Air 90 debuted in 1966. This twin-turboprop aircraft is known for its reliability as an executive transport, typically seating up to six passengers. Introduced in 2008, the C90GTi is an upgraded version of the C90GT. It is powered by a pair of Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6A-135A turboprop engines, flat rated to 550shp each. This engine configuration ensures cooler operating temperatures and enhanced performance during takeoff, climb, and cruise. The C90GTi also incorporates Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics.
Hawker Beechcraft emerged from the merger of the Hawker and Beechcraft product lines, continuing the legacy of the foundational Beech Aircraft Corporation established by Walter Beech in 1932. Beechcraft created numerous iconic aircraft designs, including the original King Air line, which became one of the most successful turboprops in aviation history.
A range of access solutions supports detailed maintenance across the C90GTi. Platforms and stands, including cantilever platform and bridge deck options, facilitate access to the wing and engine pylon areas, specifically covering anti-ice systems, engine components (inlet, exhaust, fan, turbine), hydraulics, and fuel systems. Modular stepover platforms and reach deck platforms address maintenance needs for the forward fuselage, including cabin access and lighting systems, as well as the nose section (windshield, cockpit, avionics). For the tail section and AFT fuselage, specialized platforms and trestles ensure proper access for servicing the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, and the APU compartments.
