The Airbus C295 MPA (Maritime Patrol Aircraft) is a variant of the C295 medium tactical transport aircraft. Designed for maritime surveillance and patrol missions, the C295 MPA is a dependable workhorse for naval and air forces globally.
The C295 has its origins in the CASA/IPTN CN-235 transport aircraft. Work began on the derivative C-295 in the 1990s by the Spanish aerospace company CASA, which is now part of the European multinational Airbus Defence and Space division. The first flight occurred in November 1997, and the aircraft was introduced in 2001. Over 230 units have been built, securing its position as a market leader in its category.
A range of platforms and access solutions facilitate maintenance around the C295 MPA. These solutions include Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, Ultraraise, Super Service Stand, Easyraise, Bridge Deck, Cantilever Platform, Aviation Chock and Cone Trolley, Super Maintenance Platform, Branach Fibreglass Platform, A Frame Aviation Platform, and Platform Ladder Warthog.
These access platforms address essential maintenance requirements across the aircraft: The Nose Section requires access for the radome, antenna, nose avionics, windshield, cockpit, and bulkhead.
The Forward Fuselage needs coverage for the Main Entry Door (MED), cargo/baggage area, lighting systems, cabin access, Environmental Control System (ECS), and forward wheel well access.
Landing Gear maintenance is supported for both the Nose Landing Gear (NLG) and Main Landing Gear (MLG).
The Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area requires access for the wing box, center and wing fuel tanks, oil maintenance, cabin interior, Wi-Fi systems, and emergency exit points.
Wing and Engine Pylon access supports work on the pylon, anti-ice systems, engine components (inlet, exhaust, body, flap, fan, compressor, turbine), FADEC/EEC, hydraulics, fuel tanks/pumps, undercowl, and armpit.
AFT Fuselage access is required for the aft bulkhead, aft cargo, aft cabin doors, auxiliary fuel, environmental ducting, rear avionics, APU compartments, and rear inboard/outboard sections.
The Tail Section (Empennage) requires solutions for the APU intake, APU generator, APU compressor, APU exhaust port, vertical stabilizer, horizontal stabilizer, and rudder.
