C-9B Skytrain II

The C-9B Skytrain II is a convertible passenger and transport aircraft developed by McDonnell Douglas, based on the civilian DC-9-32CF airframe. McDonnell Douglas was a foundational force in American aviation, formed by the merger of McDonnell Aircraft and Douglas Aircraft in 1967. The company delivered a total of 48 C-9 variants, including the 24 C-9B Skytrain II models, which served the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps from 1973 until their retirement in the 2010s.
