C-37

The C-37 is the U.S. military designation for the Gulfstream V (C-37A) and later models like the Gulfstream G550 (C-37B), serving as an executive and special-mission transport aircraft. Gulfstream Aerospace, the manufacturer, traces its history back to the 1958 acquisition of Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation’s civil aircraft programs. The company became known for producing high-performance business jets, beginning with the turboprop Gulfstream I and solidifying its reputation with the jet-powered Gulfstream II. The Gulfstream V, upon which the C-37A is based, first flew in November 1995 and entered service in June 1997.

A range of access platforms and solutions support detailed maintenance across the C-37. For the Nose Section, including the radome, avionics, and cockpit, platforms provide ideal access. Other platforms and stands are used for the Forward Fuselage (main entry door, cargo, and environmental control system), Landing Gear (Nose and Main), and the Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area (fuel tanks and cabin interior).

Specialized platforms and stands address access needs for the Wing & Engine Pylon section, critical for maintaining the engine components (inlet, exhaust, fan, compressor, turbine) and hydraulics. Access equipment also supports the AFT Fuselage, including the bulkhead and rear avionics, and the Tail Section/Empennage, vital for servicing the APU components and stabilizers.
