C-212 Aviocar

The C-212 Aviocar is a turboprop-powered, Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) medium transport aircraft, originally designed for civil and military cargo use. Its unique box-like fuselage and high-mounted wing make it versatile for varied missions. The aircraft first flew in 1971 and entered service in 1974.

The manufacturer, Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA (CASA), was a Spanish aerospace company founded in 1923 by José Ortiz-Echagüe. CASA established itself through the license-building of several influential foreign aircraft before transitioning to independent designs like the C-212. CASA was a foundational part of the European aerospace corporation EADS, and its facilities were later fully merged into Airbus Defence and Space.

A range of platforms and access solutions are available for this aircraft, addressing foundational maintenance and inspection needs. Reach Deck Platforms and Modular Stepover Platforms facilitate access to the Wing & Engine Pylon section, including the engine inlet/exhaust, fan, and compressor. Super Trestle Scaffold and Super Service Stand provide broad access for detailed work on the Nose Section (radome, avionics, cockpit), Forward Fuselage (cargo, cabin access), and AFT Fuselage (bulkhead, APU compartments). For specific areas like the Landing Gear, a Platform Ladder is available. Cantilever Platform and Bridge Deck units support access to the Tail Section for work on the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and rudder.
