C-144 (CN-235-100M)

The C-144 (CN-235-100M) is a versatile military transport aircraft, originally developed as the CASA/IPTN CN-235. This aircraft is known for its ability to perform short take-offs and landings (STOL), making it ideal for operating from unprepared airstrips and serving various military and humanitarian roles globally.

Its manufacturer, CASA (Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA), was a foundational Spanish aerospace company established in 1923 by José Ortiz-Echagüe. Early on, CASA focused on licensed production and maintenance, but soon began designing its own aircraft. The company was integral to Spanish aviation history, later joining the Eurofighter project. CASA became part of the European aerospace corporation EADS in 1999, operating as EADS-CASA. By 2009, the CASA brand was fully merged into Airbus Military (now Airbus Defence and Space), where its facilities remain essential for tactical transport aircraft production and supply chain strength.

A variety of access solutions are utilized for maintenance and inspection of the C-144, supporting detailed access to areas like the nose, landing gear, and engine components.
