C-1

The Beechcraft C-1, known as the Mentor, is a single-engine primary trainer aircraft developed by the Beech Aircraft Corporation, now part of Textron Aviation. Its manufacturing history begins with its first flight in 1948 and subsequent delivery to the U.S. Air Force, where it served as the foundational trainer for decades. Beechcraft, established in 1932 by Walter H. Beech, has a long legacy of designing and producing respected aircraft for both civilian and military use. The C-1 Mentor model has been used by numerous international air forces, solidifying its place as a robust training platform.

For maintenance around the C-1, various access solutions are available. Platforms like the Modular Stepover Platforms and Bridge Deck provide access across obstacles, aiding in maintenance around the Wing Box area, particularly for Fuel Tanks and Oil Maintenance. For work on the Nose Section—including the Radome, Antenna, and Windshield & Cockpit—solutions such as the Reach Deck Platform and Cantilever Platform ensure personnel can safely reach these heights.

The sturdy Super Trestle Scaffold and Platform Ladder Warthog are effective for tasks related to the Landing Gear (Nose and Main) and the Forward Fuselage for Cargo/Baggage and Cabin Access. Specialized platforms like the A Frame Aviation Platform and Super Maintenance Platform provide efficient access for detailed work on the Wing & Engine Pylon sections, necessary for inspecting the Engine, Hydraulics, and Undercowl. Additionally, these platforms support work on the Tail Section for components like the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilisers and the Rudder.
