BN2B-21

The BN2B-21 is a variant of the foundational Britten-Norman Islander, a light utility aircraft renowned for its STOL (Short Take-off and Landing) capability and rugged design. Manufactured by Pilatus BRITTEN – NORMAN, this high-wing, twin-engine aircraft is a workhorse, ideal for passenger transport, cargo hauling, and special missions in challenging environments.

The Islander lineage began in the mid-1960s, designed by John Britten and Desmond Norman. The aircraft quickly became a commercial success, known for its simplicity and operational efficiency. The manufacturing history involves several ownership changes, but the Islander design has remained in continuous production, making it one of the most enduring aircraft designs in history. Pilatus BRITTEN – NORMAN continues the tradition of building and supporting these reliable aircraft, serving a diverse global market.

Access solutions, such as stepover platforms, trestle scaffold, and maintenance platforms, are key for maintaining critical areas on the BN2B-21. These solutions facilitate efficient access to the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit), Forward Fuselage (Cargo/Baggage, Cabin Access), Landing Gear (NLG + MLG), Middle Fuselage (Wing Box, Fuel Tanks), Wing & Engine Pylon (Engine maintenance, fuel systems), and the Tail Section (Vertical and Horizontal Stabilisers).
