BN 2A 26

The BN 2A 26 is a variant of the Islander light utility aircraft. Philippine Aerospace Development, the manufacturer, was established in 1973 to manage and consolidate the aviation-related activities of the Philippine government. Its history is rooted in fostering a domestic aerospace industry, covering maintenance, repair, overhaul, and manufacturing licensed aircraft like the Islander series. The BN 2A 26 is known for its sturdy design, high wings, and versatility, making it a reliable platform for various regional transport and utility roles.

A range of platforms and access solutions are available to support maintenance on this aircraft. For accessing the Wing & Engine Pylon section—including the engine body, inlet, and exhaust—Super Maintenance Platforms, Modular Stepover Platforms, and Super Trestle Scaffold are ideal. The Reach Deck Platform and Cantilever Platform aid in meticulous work on the Tail Section (Empennage), such as the vertical and horizontal stabilizers. Access for the Cockpit and Nose Avionics benefits from the A Frame Aviation Platform and Platform Ladder Warthog. For the Main and Nose Landing Gear, the Ultraraise and Super Service Stand provide necessary elevation. Bridge Deck solutions facilitate broad access across the fuselage and wing box area. Aviation Chock and Cone Trolleys assist in general access and readiness.
