B/A 206B-1

The B/A 206B-1 is part of the extensive Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter family, a five-seat turbine helicopter renowned globally for its reliability and utility roles, including corporate transport, law enforcement, and utility operations. The 206B-1 model is a foundational component of this design lineage.

Commonwealth Aircraft, the manufacturer associated with this model, was the name of the company after Bell Helicopter purchased the remaining assets of the Bell-Agusta Aerospace Company (BAAC). BAAC was originally a joint venture established in 1998 between Bell Helicopter and Agusta, focusing on the production of various Bell models, including the 206 series, for military and civilian use. The B/A designation reflects this Bell/Agusta background before production and support transitioned.

A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for methodical maintenance across the B/A 206B-1. These solutions, including Cantilever Platforms and Modular Stepover Platforms, support detailed access for sections like the tail rotor, engine (Inlet/Exhaust and Engine Body), and all areas requiring high-level access, such as the Vertical Stabiliser and Rotor Systems. The flexibility of platforms allows personnel to reach the main rotor, flight controls, and other critical sections for inspection and servicing.
