AT-401

The AIR Tractor AT-401 is a foundational agricultural aircraft, recognized as one of the original single-engine “Air Tractors” designed for aerial application. AIR Tractor, Inc. began manufacturing operations in Olney, Texas, in 1978. Founder Leland Snow was a prolific designer of agricultural aircraft, beginning with his first design, the S-1, in 1953. The company’s focus has always been on producing aircraft that are efficient, sturdy, and specifically engineered for dusting, spraying, and firefighting.

The AT-401 is a turboprop-powered aircraft, valued for its payload capacity and reliable performance in demanding operating environments. Its design reflects the manufacturer’s commitment to creating dependable, purpose-built utility aircraft.

Access solutions available for use with this aircraft address various maintenance requirements across key sections. Products such as the Reach Deck Platform and Modular Stepover Platforms facilitate safe access to the Nose Section components like the windshield and cockpit, and general access across the Forward and AFT Fuselage. Super Service Stands and Super Maintenance Platforms provide elevated access necessary for detailed work on the Wing & Engine Pylon area, including the inlet/exhaust and undercowl. Smaller, portable options like the Platform Ladder and A Frame Aviation Platform are indispensable for routine checks around the Landing Gear (NLG and MLG), and for general maintenance tasks around the Middle Fuselage and Tail Section. These platforms offer stable work environments for thorough inspections and repairs throughout the aircraft structure.
