AS 350 B

The AS 350 B is a crucial helicopter model manufactured by Airbus Helicopters. The AS350 program, which led to this model, began in the early 1970s. The AS350B, the second prototype, made its initial flight on February 14, 1975, powered by a Turbomeca Arriel 1a engine. This Arriel-powered variant was marketed globally, establishing the aircraft as a highly versatile and popular platform for a range of missions. Airbus Helicopters, formerly Eurocopter and prior to that Aerospatiale, maintains a long-standing history of producing rotorcraft known for performance and reliability.

For maintenance around the AS 350 B, a variety of access solutions are utilized. These include platform and stand features such as Reach Deck Platforms, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, and Super Maintenance Platforms. These access solutions address maintenance needs across all critical aircraft sections.

Access equipment is vital for detailed work on sections like the Nose Avionics, Windshield & Cockpit, and Bulkhead. The Forward Fuselage requires access for the Main Entry Door, Cargo/Baggage, Cabin Access, and Environmental Control System. Equipment is also used for the Main Landing Gear, and for maintenance within the Middle Fuselage, including Fuel Tanks and Cabin Interior areas. The comprehensive product lineup ensures safety and efficiency for accessing the Wing & Engine Pylon for the Turbine, Hydraulics, and Undercowl, as well as the AFT Fuselage for Rear Avionics and APU Compartments, and the Tail Section for the Vertical and Horizontal Stabiliser components.
