ARJ21 Xiangfeng

The ARJ21 Xiangfeng is a 78–90 seat regional jet produced by the Chinese state-owned aerospace manufacturer, Comac. Comac (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China) was established in 2008 and is based in Shanghai, leading China’s push into the commercial aviation sector.

Development for the ARJ21, originally known as the ARJ21 Xiangfeng (Soaring Phoenix), began in March 2002 under the state-owned ACAC consortium. The first prototype was rolled out in December 2007, and its maiden flight followed in November 2008. The design utilizes a new supercritical wing developed by Antonov, featuring a 25-degree sweepback and winglets. The aircraft entered service in 2016.

For maintenance around this aircraft, various access and platform solutions are necessary. Elevated stands and platforms provide access to the Nose Section for radome and avionics work, and the Forward Fuselage for door and wheel well access. Dedicated platforms allow safe maintenance of the Landing Gear, Wing & Engine Pylon components—such as the engine inlet, fan, and hydraulics—and the Tail Section, particularly the APU and stabilizers. Modular platforms support thorough access to the Middle Fuselage, including the wing box area and fuel tanks.
