AK1-3 (SANKA)

The AK1-3 (SANKA) is a lightweight, two-seat helicopter. Its development began with the original ZA-6 San’ka design, featuring a five-bladed main rotor. The AK1-3 followed as a second stage of development, notably incorporating a three-bladed main rotor and a tailplane with end-plate fins, with the first flight occurring in 1999. By December 2020, over 100 units of the helicopter had been delivered, making it a recognized ultralight rotorcraft.

The manufacturer, DB Aerocopter (also known as Aerokopter), originated in Ukraine. The company’s production history saw a major shift in 2009 when it was acquired by the Perla Group of companies’ Perla Aviation division. This acquisition included plans to relocate the assembly line to the United Arab Emirates.

A comprehensive range of platforms and access solutions supports detailed maintenance on the AK1-3 (SANKA).
