AC-130 Stinger II, Ghost Rider, Spooky II

The AC-130 gunship family, including the AC-130J Ghostrider, is manufactured by Lockheed Martin, a paramount global aerospace and defense company with a foundational history rooted in American aviation innovation. The AC-130 variants—sometimes referred to as Stinger II, Ghost Rider, or Spooky II—are heavily armed derivatives of the Hercules transport aircraft, designed for missions like close air support and armed reconnaissance. The AC-130J, for instance, is a highly modified C-130J aircraft featuring fully integrated digital avionics.

Access solutions, such as modular stepover platforms and cantilever platforms, address detailed maintenance needs across the aircraft structure. For the Nose Section, these stands provide ideal access for the radome, antenna, and windshield. For the Forward Fuselage, they facilitate access to the main entry door, cargo areas, and forward wheel well. For the Landing Gear, access stands ensure thorough maintenance of both the nose and main landing gear.

Sturdy platforms and service stands support work on the Middle Fuselage and Wing Box Area, including fuel tanks and oil maintenance. Furthermore, specialized platforms are crucial for the Wing & Engine Pylon section, providing access to the pylon, engine components (inlet/exhaust, fan, compressor, turbine), and hydraulics. Maintenance solutions also support the AFT Fuselage (bulkhead, cargo doors, APU compartments) and the Tail Section (vertical and horizontal stabilizers, rudder).
