AA-5A

The AA-5A Cheetah is a four-seat light aircraft introduced in the early 1970s. The aircraft traces its manufacturing heritage through several companies, beginning with American Aviation’s AA-5 Traveler. Following Grumman’s acquisition of the division, production continued under Grumman American, with the AA-5A Cheetah becoming a popular model. Gulfstream American later took over production, continuing to build the Cheetah until 1979, delivering 900 units of this model before ceasing piston-engined aircraft production.

A range of access solutions support detailed maintenance for this aircraft. Platforms such as the Ultraraise and Platform Ladder Warthog are effective for reaching the Nose Section, including the radome and windshield. For the Forward Fuselage, including cabin access and cargo areas, Modular Stepover Platforms and Easyraise units are ideal.

Sturdy positioning for Landing Gear maintenance (NLG and MLG) is provided by the Super Trestle Scaffold or Super Service Stand. For servicing the Middle Fuselage and Wing Box Area, the Reach Deck Platform and Bridge Deck offer broad access. Intricate work on the Wing and Engine Pylon—such as engine components, fuel pumps, and hydraulics—is best supported by the Cantilever Platform and Super Maintenance Platform. Specialized access platforms ensure thorough maintenance of the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section.
