AA-5

The American Aircraft AA-5, known commonly as the “Traveler,” is a popular four-seat light aircraft originally introduced in the early 1970s. Its lineage began with the Bede BD-1 project, which evolved through various designs and ultimately led to the AA-1, and then the larger AA-5 series. American Aircraft Corporation was responsible for the initial production, though the design later saw continued manufacturing under different companies, including Grumman American and eventually, Tiger Aircraft. The aircraft is recognizable for its distinctive all-metal, bonded construction.

Full-fuselage access solutions like trestle scaffold and maintenance platforms support work on the Forward Fuselage (Entry Door, Cargo/Baggage, Cabin Access) and the Middle Fuselage (Wing Box, Cabin Interior, Fuel Tanks). Specialized stands and platforms offer access for Landing Gear maintenance (Nose and Main Landing Gear). Platform setups are beneficial for the Wing & Engine Pylon sections, enabling efficient work on the Engine components, Hydraulics, and Undercowl. Taller systems are key for the AFT Fuselage and Tail Section (Stabilizers, Rudder).
