AA-1C

The AA-1C Lynx is part of the AA-1 family of light aircraft, initially developed from the Bede BD-1 prototype and first delivered in 1968 by American Aviation (which succeeded American Aircraft). American Aviation built 459 examples of the AA-1 Yankee Clipper between 1969 and 1971. The AA-1C variant was introduced later, featuring a 115hp Lycoming O-235-L2C engine and other modifications. The last of the 211 AA-1Cs produced were completed by Gulfstream American in 1978. Overall, 1820 aircraft in the AA-1 series were built between 1969 and 1978.

Access solutions, including Reach Deck Platforms, Modular Stepover Platforms, and Super Trestle Scaffolds, provide foundational support for maintaining this aircraft. For the Nose Section, these platforms enable access to the radome, antenna, nose avionics, windshield, cockpit, and bulkhead. Access solutions like Ultraraise and Easyraise support work on the Forward Fuselage, addressing needs such as the main entry door, cargo/baggage areas, lighting systems, and forward wheel well access.

Sturdy Maintenance Platforms and Platform Ladder Warthogs are beneficial for work around the Landing Gear (NLG and MLG) and the Middle Fuselage/Wing Box area, allowing for detailed maintenance of fuel tanks, oil maintenance, and interior cabin access. For the Tail Section (Empennage), the use of Cantilever Platforms and Bridge Decks supports maintenance on the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, and rudder. Various platforms and stands ensure appropriate access for general airframe maintenance tasks.
