The Cessna A152 Aerobat is a two-seat, aerobatic-capable aircraft, developed from the popular Cessna 150/152 line. These aircraft are foundational trainers in the United States and globally, known for their gentle flying characteristics and economical operation. The A152 variant, with 315 units built during the model’s production run from 1978 to 1985, is equipped for maneuvers such as loops, rolls, and spins.
Cessna Aircraft Company, the manufacturer, was one of the “Big Three” in general aviation aircraft manufacturing for much of the 20th century. Established by Clyde Cessna, the company’s history traces back to the early 1900s. After re-establishing in Wichita following financial difficulties, Cessna became a high-volume producer of aircraft like the 172—the most-produced airplane in history. The Cessna 152, introduced in 1977, updated the design of the prior 150 model.
A range of platforms and access solutions are utilized for maintaining the A152. These products, including the Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, Ultraraise, and Super Maintenance Platform, provide crucial access. These access solutions assist with maintenance across all major sections: the Nose Section (Windshield & Cockpit, Avionics), Forward Fuselage (Cabin Access, Forward Wheel Well), Landing Gear, Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area (Fuel Tanks, Cabin Interior), and the Tail Section (Vertical Stabiliser, Horizontal Stabiliser, Rudder).
