A109E

The A109E Power is a light, twin-engine helicopter known for its speed and high performance, making it widely adopted for corporate, EMS, and utility missions. It is part of the foundational A109 series, initially developed by Agusta (which later became part of Leonardo). The A109E uses Pratt & Whitney Canada’s PW207C powerplants.

Leonardo, the Italian global aerospace, defense, and security company, is the manufacturer of the A109E. Its rotary-wing heritage stems from Agusta, which began developing the A109 in the late 1960s, leading to the helicopter’s first flight in 1971. Today, Leonardo continues this legacy, supporting a massive fleet of aircraft worldwide.

A range of platforms and access solutions is utilized for maintenance around this aircraft. These solutions—including a Reach Deck Platform, Modular Stepover Platforms, Super Trestle Scaffold, Ultraraise, Super Service Stand, Easyraise, Bridge Deck, Cantilever Platform, Aviation Chock and Cone Trolley, Super Maintenance Platform, Branach Fibreglass Platform, A Frame Aviation Platform, and Platform Ladder Warthog—are integral for thorough inspection and servicing.

These platforms address maintenance needs related to the following aircraft sections: Nose Section (Radome, Antenna, Nose Avionics, Windshield & Cockpit, Bulkhead); Forward Fuselage (Main Entry Door, Cargo/Baggage, Lighting Systems, Cabin Access, Environmental Control System, Forward Wheel Well Access); Landing Gear (Nose Landing Gear + Main Landing Gear); Middle Fuselage / Wing Box Area (Wing Box, Fuel Tanks, Oil Maintenance, Cabin Interior, Wi-Fi, Emergency Exit); Wing & Engine Pylon (Pylon, Anti-Ice, Engine Inlet/Exhaust, Engine Body, Engine Flap, Fan, Compressor, Turbine, FADEC/EEC, Hydraulics, Fuel Tanks/Pumps, Undercowl, Armpit); AFT Fuselage (AFT Bulkhead, AFT Cargo, AFT Cabin Doors, Auxiliary Fuel, Environmental Ducting, Rear Avionics, APU Compartments, Rear Inboard/Outboard); Tail Section/Empennage (APU Intake, APU Generator, APU Compressor, APU Exhaust Port, Vertical Stabiliser, Horizontal Stabiliser, Rudder); and General Access (AF-BF).
