The American Champion Aircraft 7KCAB, also known as the Citabria “B” Package, is an aerobatic aircraft introduced in 1968. American Champion Aircraft Corporation has produced this model, and its predecessors, since acquiring the designs in 1988. The 7KCAB is structurally similar to the 7GCAA but incorporates key differences in its systems, notably featuring a fuel-injected 150-HP Lycoming engine along with inverted fuel and oil systems, making it highly capable for aerobatics.
The manufacturer, American Champion Aircraft, is a privately held company based in Rochester, Wisconsin. Founded in 1988, the company acquired the designs for the Champ, Citabria, Scout, and Decathlon aircraft lines. Since 1990, the company has produced new aircraft and manufactured replacement parts for these iconic designs.
