The American Champion Aircraft 7ECA, currently known as the Citabria Aurora, is a classic aerobatic aircraft. Introduced in 1964 as a successor to the Champ, the design initially featured a 100-horsepower Continental O-200 engine, soon upgraded to the 115-horsepower Lycoming O-235. Although most of the early models were manufactured by Bellanca until the company ceased operations in 1980, American Champion Aircraft now carries on the legacy, maintaining the aircraft’s presence in general aviation.
