The Beechcraft 65-B80 is part of the Queen Air series, known for its twin-engine, pressurized cabin versatility. As an improved variant of the basic Model 65, the B80 was produced until the series ended in 1978.
Beechcraft was established in 1932 in Wichita, Kansas, by Walter and Olive Ann Beech, along with Ted A. Wells, and quickly became a prominent brand in general aviation, starting with the Model 17 Staggerwing. Throughout its history, the company was acquired by Raytheon and later became a brand under Textron Aviation.
