643

The AVRO 643 Cadet is a single-engined British biplane trainer designed by Avro in the 1930s. It was developed as a smaller version of the Avro Tutor for civil use. Although the row in the table lists the manufacturer as “AVRO International Aerospace”, historical records indicate the aircraft was manufactured by A.V. Roe & Co, known as Avro. Production of the Cadet ran from 1932 to 1939, with its first flight occurring in October 1931.

The Avro 643 Mk II Cadet, an improved and strengthened variant with better parachute egress, entered service in 1935 and was the most produced model. This variant included 34 units fitted with a tailwheel for the Royal Australian Air Force, remaining in service until 1946. A total of 104 Cadets were built.

Maintenance and access for this aircraft model are supported by specialized height access solutions. These portable platforms and stands allow access to key areas, including the Nose Section (radome, antenna, avionics, and cockpit), Forward Fuselage (doors, cargo, lighting, and cabin access), and the Middle Fuselage/Wing Box Area (fuel tanks and oil maintenance). Access solutions also cater to the Wing and Engine Pylon areas (inlet/exhaust, engine body, and controls), the AFT Fuselage, and the Tail Section (stabilizers and rudder).
