510

The Cessna 510, known as the Citation Mustang, is a very light jet developed by Cessna. Launched at the 2002 NBAA convention, the Model 510 first flew on April 23, 2005. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) granted type certification on September 8, 2006, with the first delivery following in November. Production of this twin-engine jet concluded in 2017 after 479 aircraft were built. It is powered by two pylon-mounted Pratt & Whitney PW615F turbofan engines located on the rear fuselage.

Cessna, the manufacturer, has a foundational history in general aviation. Established by Clyde Cessna, the company grew to become a leading producer of light aircraft and business jets. The Citation line of business jets, which includes the 510, has been a key offering since the early 1970s, setting industry standards for performance and reliability.

A range of platforms and access solutions address maintenance requirements for the 510. Solutions like the Cantilever Platform and Reach Deck Platform, which features a cantilever reach design, are necessary for accessing tight areas such as the Wing & Engine Pylon section, which includes the engine inlet, exhaust, and turbine. Sturdy platforms and trestle scaffold are utilized for general access and maintenance of the Nose Section (radome, windshield, and cockpit) and the Tail Section (vertical and horizontal stabilizers). Access platforms are indispensable for servicing the Landing Gear (NLG and MLG) and the Forward Fuselage, particularly the main entry door, cargo areas, and forward wheel well. The Super Service Stand and other specialized platforms support thorough work on the Middle Fuselage and Wing Box Area, where fuel tanks and oil maintenance points are located, ensuring first-class operational readiness.
