The Model 44 aircraft is a seven-capacity airframe manufactured by ANGEL Aircraft. Historically, the Model 44, or AAC Angel, has been noted for its robust capabilities, with a maximum speed of 180 knots and a substantial range of up to 1,720 nautical miles. The aircraft is powered by two Lycoming IO-540-M1C5 air-cooled flat-six engines, each generating 300 horsepower.
In terms of manufacturing history, the Model 44 received approval from the Chinese National Civil Aviation Administration in 2015, following the substantial completion of the first Chinese-manufactured example in May 2016. This led to the financing of a manufacturing plant by the Hubei local government, continuing the aircraft’s production legacy.
