400A

The 400A is a light corporate jet that marked a significant advancement from the original Model 400. This aircraft was notable for being the first of its kind certified with such an advanced cockpit suite. The construction primarily utilizes aerospace light alloys. The fuel system includes three separate ports—one in each wing and one in the fuselage—capable of holding 4,911 lbs of fuel.

The manufacturing history of the 400A is tied to Beechcraft and Hawker Beechcraft, but the aircraft line was briefly under Raytheon, a multinational defense, aerospace, and electronics company. Raytheon owned Beech Aircraft Corporation from 1994 to 2007. During this time, the company oversaw the production and refinement of the business jet, solidifying the aircraft’s position in the light jet market.

Maintenance access for this aircraft is supported by a variety of platforms and access solutions, including modular stepover platforms, trestle scaffold, and super service stands. These products help maintenance personnel reach critical areas such as the nose section for avionics and the windshield, the landing gear for thorough inspection, and the wing and engine pylons for engine servicing, including the fan, compressor, and turbine areas.
