340A

The Cessna 340A is a pressurized, piston-powered twin-engine aircraft. It emerged from the general aviation boom of the late 1960s and early 1970s, designed to offer comfort and capability. The 340 was originally introduced with 285-horsepower engines, but most aircraft, including the 340A variant, were equipped with 310-horsepower engines, improving performance and speed. Production of the model, which totaled about 1297 aircraft, ended in 1984.

Cessna, the manufacturer, has a foundational place in American aviation history, beginning in the early 20th century. Clyde Cessna co-founded the company, which became renowned for designing and manufacturing a vast range of general aviation aircraft, from single-engine trainers to business jets. Cessna’s legacy is defined by producing dependable, popular aircraft for private, commercial, and military use globally.

A range of platforms and stands supports maintenance access for the 340A. The Reach Deck Platform and Modular Stepover Platforms facilitate access to the Nose Section (Radome, Antenna, Avionics) and Forward Fuselage (Cabin Access, Cargo/Baggage). Cantilever Platforms and Bridge Deck are essential for servicing the Wing & Engine Pylon sections, addressing needs like Engine (Inlet/Exhaust) and Hydraulics.

For Landing Gear (NLG + MLG), the A Frame Aviation Platform and Super Service Stand offer precise access. For the Tail Section (Empennage), including the Vertical and Horizontal Stabilisers, the Platform Ladder Warthog and Ultraraise provide methodical and safe height access. The Super Trestle Scaffold and Super Maintenance Platform offer comprehensive access for general maintenance, covering large areas like the Middle Fuselage and AFT Fuselage components.
