285D

The 285D is an aircraft model associated with Lockheed Martin, a paramount aerospace and defense company. Lockheed Martin was formed from the merger of Lockheed Corporation and Martin Marietta in 1995. This union of two of the largest American defense contractors was initially a survival strategy following the collapse of the Soviet Union, but it resulted in a foundational corporation dominating the aerospace and defense sector today.

For maintenance around the 285D, a variety of platforms and access solutions are utilized. These systems address needs across the aircraft, including the Nose Section (Radome, Nose Avionics, and Cockpit), the Forward Fuselage (Cabin Access, Cargo/Baggage), and Landing Gear areas.

The wing, engine pylon, and AFT Fuselage require methodical access solutions. Platforms can facilitate work on the Engine (Inlet/Exhaust), Hydraulics, and the AFT Bulkhead. Access equipment, such as modular stepover platforms and various service stands, is indispensable for reaching the Tail Section (Empennage), including the Vertical Stabilizer and Rudder.
