Fairchild, a foundational manufacturer, produced over 2,230 units of the Model 24 until the late 1940s. The aircraft was known for being economical and easy to fly, serving extensively in both private and military roles. The 24W46 variant was produced in 1946, featuring a gross weight of 2,562 lbs.
