120

The 120 is a high-wing, all-metal light cabin monoplane, designed by Luigi Pellarini in 1953 as a potential replacement for the de Havilland DH.82A Tiger Moth trainer. Built by Fawcett Aviation Pty Ltd, the unique aircraft first flew in 1954 and was originally fitted with a de Havilland Gipsy Major engine. It was registered in November 1956. The single aircraft was later re-engined in 1979 with a Lycoming O-360.

Fawcett Aviation Pty Ltd, based in Bankstown, NSW, built the 120. The company was owned by aircraft engineer Doug Fawcett, who also ran the Illawarra Flying School. The design lineage of the 120 is noteworthy, as Pellarini also designed the Transavia Airtruk.
