112B

The Commander 112B is a single-engine, four-seat personal transport aircraft manufactured by Rockwell International. It was introduced in 1976 as an upgraded variant of the Commander 112 series, designed to address earlier performance concerns. The 112B featured a further increased Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW), a longer wingspan for enhanced stability, a new propeller, and larger wheels. Only 46 units of the 112B were produced.

Rockwell International has a complex history in aviation. The Commander 112 series originated under North American Rockwell, which formed through the merger of North American Aviation and Rockwell-Standard in 1967. The first Commander 112 was introduced in 1972. The rights to the Commander 112/114 design were later sold to Commander Aircraft Company in 1988, which continued to improve and produce variants like the 114B until 2002.

Specialized access solutions facilitate thorough maintenance across the aircraft. Portable access stands, scaffold systems, and specialized platforms provide technicians with secure and efficient access to all key areas of the 112B, including the wings, landing gear, and tail section (empennage). This high-quality equipment is indispensable for methodical upkeep of the aircraft’s structure and systems.
