Wytwornia Sprzetu Komunikacyjnego - Mielec

PZL Mielec, formerly WSK-Mielec (Wytwórnia Sprzętu Komunikacyjnego), is the largest aerospace manufacturer in postwar Poland, founded in 1939 in Mielec. It is currently owned by Lockheed Martin, via its subsidiary Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (since 2007/2015).

Historically, the company produced licensed aircraft like the PZL.37 Łoś bomber, MiG-15 jet fighters (designated Lim-1), and the An-2 utility biplane. They are also known for the PZL M18 Dromader agricultural aircraft and the TS-11 Iskra jet trainer.

Well-known current products include the PZL M-28 Skytruck and PZL M-28B Bryza twin-turboprop aircraft, used for transport and maritime surveillance, and components for Lockheed Martin’s Black Hawk helicopters.
