Waco Aircraft

The Waco Aircraft Company (WACO) was an aircraft manufacturer originally founded in 1919 in Troy, Ohio, United States. Operating between 1920 and 1947, the company was known for producing a wide range of civilian biplanes. Historically, the company started as the Weaver Aircraft Company of Ohio before changing its name to the Waco Aircraft Company in 1928/29. While the original company is defunct, the name and certain designs have been revived by new entities. The original Waco produced models like the Cabin series and various open cockpit biplanes. Today, there are companies continuing the legacy, such as those involved in the modern production of certain Waco aircraft.
