Sud

Sud Aviation was a French state-owned aircraft manufacturer formed in 1957. A historical product is the Caravelle, the first jet-powered passenger airliner for the short-medium range market. They also produced helicopters like the Alouette II and Alouette III, and developed the Super Frelon. Sud Aviation was also a partner in the development of the Concorde with the British Aircraft Corporation. In 1970, Sud Aviation merged with Nord Aviation and SEREB to form Aérospatiale. Since the company merged in 1970, there are no current products under the Sud Aviation name.
