Socata - Groupe Aerospatiale

SOCATA (Société de Construction d’Avions de Tourisme et d’Affaires) was a French aircraft manufacturer, primarily focusing on general aviation aircraft, and was a subsidiary of Aerospatiale (now part of Airbus Group). While the name SOCATA is largely historical, its lineage continues today through Daher, which acquired the company. SOCATA was best known for its line of single-engine turboprop aircraft, most notably the TBM family, such as the TBM 900 series, which are highly successful current products known for their speed and efficiency. Historically, products included the Morane-Saulnier series (like the Rallye), and the TB series of light aircraft (e.g., TB-10 Tobago, TB-20 Trinidad).
