PZL Mielec

PZL Mielec (Polskie Zakłady Lotnicze Mielec) began as the State Aviation Works – Airframe Factory No. 2 in 1938. Historically, the plant produced the PZL-37 Łoś bombers and, post-WWII, license-manufactured the Lim-1 (MiG-15) jet fighter and the An-2 utility aircraft. They also produced the TS-11 Iskra jet trainer and the M-15 Belfegor and M18 Dromader agricultural planes. The company became part of Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation in 2007, which is a Lockheed Martin company.
