Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) is a major Japanese industrial group with diverse business segments, including aerospace. In this sector, MHI manufactures and maintains military aircraft and helicopters for the Japan Self-Defense Forces, such as the F-15J (under license) and the SH-60 helicopter series. MHI is currently developing the Mitsubishi SpaceJet regional airliner, though the program is currently paused. Historically, Mitsubishi is renowned for iconic WWII aircraft like the A6M Zero fighter.
