Messerschmitt - Bolkow - Blohm

Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB) was a major West German aerospace company, formed in the late 1960s through the consolidation of firms like Messerschmitt AG and Bölkow. It was eventually acquired by what is now Airbus. Historically, MBB was known for products such as the successful MBB Bo 105 light twin-engine helicopter and its derivative, the MBB/Kawasaki BK 117. MBB also contributed significantly to early Airbus commercial aircraft like the A300, A310, and A320 family. The MBB Bo 108 evolved into the Eurocopter EC 135. Today, the MBB brand is primarily a historical reference within Airbus Defence and Space.
