Helio Aircraft

Helio Aircraft Company manufactured aircraft like the Helio Courier and Helio AU-24 Stallion. The Helio Courier was known for its STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) capabilities, featuring leading-edge slats and large trailing-edge flaps. Around 500 Helio Courier H-295 aircraft were produced between 1954 and 1974. Helio Aircraft Ltd. attempted to build new aircraft in the early 1980s with different engines and composite landing gear, including models with winglets.
