General Atomics

General Atomics is an American energy and defense corporation specializing in nuclear physics, defense, and power technologies. While they are a major contributor to nuclear fusion research and fission reactor technology, they are perhaps best known for their defense and aerospace products.

Their most well-known current products include the MQ-1 Predator and the MQ-9 Reaper series of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) developed by their subsidiary General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI). Other commercial and energy-related products include various capacitors, detection and imaging products, deicing technology, and energy systems. Historically, General Atomics was a key player in developing high-temperature gas-cooled reactors and conducting magnetic confinement fusion experiments.
