General Aircraft

General Aircraft Ltd. was a British aircraft manufacturer established in 1934, primarily known for its military gliders and some unique aircraft designs before being absorbed into the Hawker Siddeley Group in 1949.

Well-known historical products include the Hotspur, a troop-carrying military glider used during World War II for training, and the Hamilcar, a larger cargo glider capable of carrying heavy equipment or vehicles. They also produced the Cygnet, an early light aircraft. The company does not have current products as it is defunct.
