Fleet Aircraft

Fleet Aircraft was a Canadian aircraft manufacturer founded in 1928 by Reuben H. Fleet in Fort Erie, Ontario. It was established to acquire foreign rights to aircraft developed by Consolidated Aircraft. Consolidated bought back Fleet Aircraft in 1929 and formed Fleet Aircraft of Canada in 1930. The company ceased using the Fleet name in 1939 but continued operations. A notable historical product was the Fleet Model 2 training aircraft. The company was later renamed Fleet Aerospace, which closed in 2003, and then re-opened as the independent Fleet Canada. Current well-known products are not specified in the search results, as the original manufacturing entity’s legacy is primarily historical.
