Fairchild

Fairchild Aircraft was a significant American aerospace manufacturer, primarily known for its military and civil aircraft designs. Historically, they are well-known for the Fairchild 24, a popular light civil aircraft, and the C-119 Flying Boxcar military transport plane. A major product was the A-10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog), an attack aircraft still in service today, though its design predates the modern company structure. The original aircraft company went through several iterations and ownership changes, eventually becoming part of other entities. The legacy products remain the most notable.
