Edgar Percival Aircraft

Edgar Percival was an Australian aircraft designer and pilot who founded the British company Percival Aircraft Company and later Edgar Percival Aircraft Limited in 1954 at Stapleford Aerodrome, England. Percival’s aircraft were known for their speed and grace. A well-known design from the later company was the Edgar Percival E.P. 9, a light utility aircraft. A total of 21 E.P. 9s were constructed before the company was sold in 1960. The predecessor, Percival Aircraft Company, produced several notable historical aircraft, such as the Mew Gull.
