EADS CASA - European Aeronautic Defence And Space

EADS CASA (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company – Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA) was the Spanish division of the major European aerospace conglomerate EADS (now Airbus Group). While CASA (Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA) has a long history dating back to 1923, EADS CASA served as the primary entity for military transport aircraft and aerospace systems within Spain after the EADS merger in 2000.

Well-known current and recent products, largely inherited from CASA, include the C-212 Aviocar, the CN-235, and the C-295 military transport aircraft. Historically, CASA built various aircraft under license, such as Dornier flying boats and the Junkers Ju 52. Today, the organization’s functions are integrated into Airbus Defence and Space.
