CASA

CASA (Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA) was a Spanish aircraft manufacturer, now part of Airbus Defence and Space (formerly EADS CASA). The company designed and produced military transport aircraft. Well-known current and recent military transport aircraft include the CASA C-212 Aviocar, the CASA CN-235, and the CASA C-295. CASA was also known for the CASA C-101 trainer/ground attack aircraft. Historically, CASA license-built several famous aircraft, such as the CASA 1.131 Jungmann (Bücker Bü 131), the CASA 1.133 Jungmeister (Bücker Bü 133), the CASA 2.111 (Heinkel 111), and the CASA 352 (Junkers Ju 52). The company’s first designed aircraft, the CASA-1, flew in 1929.
